Ergonomic passport handling
The DILETTA Passport Laser Tower has been specially designed for ergonomic opeartion and makes it easy to insert the passport without tiring. The passport feed slot is at an ergonomic height for fatigue-free operation.
The tower is placed on the floor next to the desk. This ensures vibration-free operation of the laser unit. Its 60kg weight further enhances the vibration-free operation, resulting in perfect quality with laser-sharp text edges and finest grey scales for the image areas.
The passport is inserted at the front of the tower and then automatically drawn in. The contoured layout allows for error-free and easy insertion of the booklet. The opening closes automatically to prevent the laser beam from escaping. Once personalisation is complete, the passport is issued again at the front.
With your DILETTA passport printer you can print individual full-colour UV features which are only visible under ultra violet light. DILETTA offers a wide range of various special effect colours and various UV colours visible under light wave range 365 or 254 nm.

Polycarbonate passports with perfect greyscale photos
The DILETTA Passport Laser Tower supports all features of a modern laser engraving system. Particularly noteworthy are the perfect gray shades for the holder photo and the free positioning of the tilt images.
Integrated RFID Contactless Chip Encoder
Your passport laser engraver is equipped with an integrated contactless chip reader/writer. This allows you to simultaneously write the passport holder’s details into the contactless chip and personalise the polycarbonate page. This prevents incorrect information from being written to the passport in a two-step process, which could be caused by operator error. The module supports all ISO 14443 Type A and ISO 14443 Type B chips with a transmission rate of up to 848 kbps on the air interface.

With your DILETTA Laser Tower you can laser engrave Braille directly onto the polycarbonate data page. This enables blind and visually impaired people to identify their passport independently and clearly.
Product Options
Barcode reader
To avoid mixing up passport numbers, you can integrate a barcode reader module for 1D or 2D barcodes into your passport laser engraver. Before the laser job starts, the system reads the pre-printed passport number and transfers it to the personalisation software.
OCR reader
To avoid incorrect passport numbers being entered into your system, you can integrate an OCR reader module into your passport laser engraver. Before starting the laser engraving job, the system automatically detects and captures the pre-printed passport number with the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) module and transfers it to the connected PC.
Camera System
A camera system (camera and LED lighting) is optionally integrated into the passport laser engraver. This allows the machine-readable lines to be lasered exactly to the edge of the page and the holder's data to be lasered into the existing pre-printed fields.
